In the historic center of La Maddalena, along Monte Rotondo, you’ll find Sa Madalena – A simple, well-maintained place, perfect for a relaxing stay.
The project was created by the owners with the idea of giving new life to an old building, turning it into a simple, functional, and welcoming place. Each space is thoughtfully furnished and enriched with artworks by Maestro D’Orsi, adding a unique and personal touch.
Thanks to its central location, Sa Madalena is a convenient base for exploring the town on foot – close to shops, restaurants, and the harbor.
The guesthouse spans three floors and offers several accommodation options, all private, practical, and well-maintained:
• Mirto: two-bedroom apartment on the ground floor with a private entrance. Ideal for families or guests looking for more independence. It includes a living room with sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen (induction hob, oven, fridge), bathroom, and a double bedroom with en-suite.
• Lavanda: a double room on the ground floor with a private bathroom – simple and comfortable.
• Erica (first floor): double room with private bathroom.
• Lentisco (first floor): a one-bedroom apartment with a kitchenette, perfect for longer stays or for those who prefer to be independent.
• Corbezzolo and Ginepro (second floor): two spacious and tastefully furnished rooms, designed for a more relaxing stay.
All rooms are equipped with a TV, mini fridge, Wi-Fi, kettle, and coffee machine to ensure comfort and convenience. The courtesy kit is carefully selected, with simple, low-impact products.
Sa Madalena is not just a place to sleep – it’s a quiet and welcoming spot where you can feel at ease and enjoy your time on the island.
Historic Center – La Maddalena
The heart of the historic center is enclosed between Piazza Umberto I and the characteristic port of Cala Gavetta, connected by the main pedestrian streets such as Via G. Garibaldi and Via XX Settembre. Easily walkable, it offers a wide range of services including bars, ice cream shops, restaurants, pizzerias, tobacconists, shops, newsstands, rentals (cars, scooters, bicycles, dinghies), guided tours, grocery stores, and pharmacies.
Island of La Maddalena – La Maddalena Archipelago National Park
Considered one of the most stunning landscapes in the world, the La Maddalena Archipelago is renowned for its natural beauty, crystal-clear sea, and unspoiled white-sand beaches. It is located in the northeast of Sardinia, not far from the famous Costa Smeralda, and is made up of seven main islands (La Maddalena, Caprera, Santo Stefano, Spargi, Budelli, Razzoli, and Santa Maria) along with numerous smaller islets that together form a true masterpiece of nature.
The island of La Maddalena is connected by a bridge to the island of Caprera, a place of remarkable natural charm and significant historical value, as it was home to Giuseppe Garibaldi.
